COAL CAMP MEMORIE'S
        The railroad tracks are gone
        but not my memories
        of a satisfying childhood
        in Kenvir Kentucky

        My childhood friends were many
        I can't name them all
        but to me they're family
        who always gave their all

Life was tough in a coalcamp
        we were mined in poverty
but that didn't matter to us
because we were young and so carefree

        We spent our summers talking
        outside the restaurant
        speaking of our future plans
        and everything we'd want

        We spent our winters building
        huge snowmen in the snow
and when the creek froze over
        aslidin we would go

        Spring got us itchin"
to roam the hill's and play
        cause being in the mountains
        made a perfect day

        Fall got us all excited
        about football games to play
        and hoping that our wildcats
        would succeed with every play

So the seasons kept us busy
        with seasonal activities
        but what made them special
        was our comraderie

        Friends I truly miss you
I hope you know thats true
cause it really made my life
        having a friend like you.

BLACK MOUNTAIN MAFIA

                  The Black Mountain Mafia
                  they were a rowdy bunch
The Jerry's, Dale, Jack, and Steve
and a fellow they called Runt

                  They all hung together
                  there's power in a group
and if you "wanted to know"
                  they had the latest scoop

                 They drilled holes in pinball's
to win a game or few
                 but when Laurie caught them
they had to pay their dues

                 Pennies they ground to dimes
                 to buy a soda pop
                 but when "caught again"
                 their ventures didn't stop

They stole a jar of weinies
                 at Elvies little store
when she made them "hit the road"
                 that evened up the score

                 But catching didn't hinder
                 their quest for illicit fun
                 cause they'd do it again
as sure as the setting sun

                 Yep they were rowdy
                 but they were loyal too
                 cause if you needed help
                 they'd be there for you

                 They have gone their ways
                 their dreams to fulfill
                 but I can't forget those guy's
                 guess I never will

                 The mafia I truly miss
                 they were friends for real
                 I still call them friends
                 and I always will

                  GOOD LUCK FELLA'S
